varieties are the Dracaena spp.; Polyscias spp.;
Codiaeum spp.; Pleomele
reflexa spp. Along with those we also
offer many flowering plants such as Adenium obesum (pride of
Japan) Allamanda giant; Bougainvillea, Hibiscus, Jetropha, Oleander
etc.

Company
Background
We began as a home based business handed
over to us from our parents in 1985. Once the present Director,
Yogendra (Yoge) graduated from the exalted agricultural Faculty of
Peradeniya University from Sri Lanka, he joined with parents to run
the family business. As soon as he toil with the land, he realized
the vast scope he was having with the never-ending water source
which is running along the property, and the rich fertile soil
inherited from the generation. He invested all he had in the newly
introduced floriculture industry and was an out grower to the local
Foliage Exporting companies.
In 2002,
RIVER
VIEW FLORA
was founded
as a registered foliage export company by Yoge with his wife,
Malathie and expanded further to accommodate net houses, plant
propagators with other facilities. Yoge, who has specialized in crop science, looks after
the other aspects such as pest and disease management. Malathie, who has Post Graduate
Degree in Soil Science and a Doctorate in Plant Nutrition, looks
after the nutrition and soil fertility aspects of the foliage
plantation.
Now, we
have 8 ha planted with Dracaena marginata (different spp) under
coconut plantation as an intercrop. We also have Polyscias about 2
ha adjoining the Dracaena plantation. Under net-house we have
Dracaena sandriana all major types the acreage is nearly about 5 ha.
We are also in the process of expanding with palm varieties. All
together there are about 15 ha of healthy vigorous plantation is
waiting to serve your requirement as young plants, seedlings,
air-layers and cut foliage,
to the
highest standard that we could.
